So that was the weekend again. Doing laundry, cleaning the bathroom, usefull stuff. :/

I got a really weird voice sms. KPN should check that system, didn't make much sense. XD
Luckily it had a phonenumber and it turned out to be David! He and Nico were gonna watch a movie in Amsterdam and whether we'd like to join. A very good movie, the russian flick nightwatch. However, we'd already seen it three times now and Vos was half falling asleep when he got home from work. So unfortunately we had to turn it down. Gah! -_-
I feel guilty, cos I keep saying I wanna do things again. Now there is something and we don't come. *slaps himself*

Well at least we'll have the BBQ next weekend. :)

And once again the weekend is only a distant memory. :/

Friday Naros came over. JK had wanted to join, but had to turn in early cos he had to be at the airport early the next day. With Naros we spend some time checking new media.

Speaking of movies. Devils Rejects was an okay flick. House of wax wasn't as good as promissed. A remake of a classic, but in fact it really did look like some 1950's film, not nearly enough tension and very predictable. Robots is a fun movie. I liked that one. :)

Saturday we had a bday party. Both Kimba and Vos had their birthday's recently. Good to see a lot of friends who I hadn't seen in quite a while again. Had a great time and we'll have to do this again real soon. :)
Poor Vos was dead on his feet and really wanted to sleep in his own bed, so we drove back during the night.

Slept late on sunday. Trimmed the hedges, cleaned out the shed, moved some furniture around. Usefull work. :P

Been a while. let's see.

Last week we had Kaelin over tuesday n wednesday. Tuesday we entertaint ourselves with various media. Wednesday was a lovely sunny day which just begged you to go outside. Afterwhich the blazing sun makes you wish you hadn't and vision only returns after you've located you're sunglasses.
Long story short, of to the Beatrix park we went. Obviously this was *the* occasion to give the e-boards a spin. :)
Messed about in the park. Made some beautiful leaps of the board to keep myself from going flat on my face. And we had a bite to eat from the local snackbar, never again... but the milkshakes were alright. :P

Ringo and Sandra came over thursday. Vos had to work late so most of the evening we spend talking absolute shite and commenting on some movie playing in the background. Needles to say this was obviously hilarious. Altho' some must be accounted to the state we were in. x.x

Last weekend was spend in a useful manner. I had taken the opportunity to clear out the shed at my 'rents as far as possible. Our shed currently breaking apart for all the rusty metal which I'm sure of is of some historical value. Classic mopeds are just fun. :P

Clearing out the shed was also a wholesome experience for those who, like me, suffer from a mild case of arachnophobia. If you ever catch me telling you the story while drunk, rest asured they probably weren't really tarantula's. %)

Tuesday we had a magnificent dinner at Ringo's. A friend of ours who happens to be a chef. :)
He's currently renting a room at a mutual friends place. We staid the whole evening swapping stories around the campfire (campfire consisting of a couple of spliffs going round). Good food, good company, good fun. We have to do that again. :)

Ringo came over yesterday at our place, later joined by JK. JK just popped out of the blue and was the last person I was expecting. As of late he'd been distant and a bit bitchy. Last monday we had a rough encounter which for me was my last attempt. Yeah, he was one of the people that I considered lost friends in my previous post.

Anyway, that seems to go back to normal. Eventho' we didn't really get the chance to talk yesterday, I was sooo sleepy.

Work is a bitch and I've got a lack of sleep. *YAWN!*

Oh an btw, the mailinglist is offline if you haven't noticed the last couple of weeks. The server has been switched off and the building it was in has been closed down. That meant no acces to the server at all. Pegla hopefully has it in his possession now so we can set it up again. For the time being I'm offering my ADSL line to place the server on untill we have a better way. Deadline: WiP.

The weekend was fun, kaelin came by as did Kensaro. We had a BBQ saturday and watched 'fantastic four' and 'harold and kumar go to white castle'. Fun flicks the both of them. :)
Also introduced Kaelin to the e-boards. We'll have to try those again in the beatrixpark, which has a lot smoother surface than our street. And the tiggy finally got the chance to try my old puch, which fortunately performed well. Eventho' it has been standing still for quite a while. :P

two weeks

Yay, two weeks of vacation time!

In other news, yeah, okay, could not resist. Bought an e-board.
Well two, one for V as well.
My wallet is in intensive care, but it's worth it. :D

The downside of these things is clearly the actual time you get to ride them for all the people that stop you to gasp at it. :P

This weekend we had S&D over. Some poorly organised event from Nickelodeon last saturday had a Niko stand which D had to man (I strangely feel this would have to be 'a stand to girl', but that doesn't really work :P ).
Obviously this stand was, opposed to the entire event, a huge succes. :)
Myself, I had to visit my bro who had his bday recently this saturday. Both parties back that evening we had a Will & Grace marathon. :)

As far as I understood N will be arriving this evening. So the meriment continues right up to eurofurence. :D

Last weekend we had the lill goodbye thingie for K-lion. Just before we left we got a call from S&D. They decided to come as well. Upon arrival we found N already waiting for one and a half hours. To no one's surprise K had totally forgotten. S&D arrived shortly after and only about 10 minutes later the cheetah got home so we could at least go inside.
We started the party with some good ole dutch finest grown and a bucketload of alcohol.
The guest of honor, we found out later, had passed out at work (such a hard working kitty) and woke up at around 3 am finding himself staring at an unfamiliar ceiling. He got back, we partied on. ^^

Sunday we spend most of the time playing games and messing around with a very nifty and really small RC aircraft that D had brought along. Unfortunately it landed on the roof of a school twice. Both times we managed to retrieve it tho. Also spend some time trying to stay upright on the flowboard. K. had bought a couple of e-boards. Electrical skateboards. Now those are fun. :D
Obviously that was next on the list to try out. We went out to the mallarea, which was closed unfortunately. But the outside bikelane had enough possibilities to mess about.
The boards handle fairly well. Takes some getting used to, but we were zooming around in no time. Even S, who is a skateboard/flowboard/anyboard virgin was going downhill 'round the corner in just a few practice runs.
Now the fun thing about e-boards is that it's just as easy to zoom back up that hill. Not too steep a gradient, but hey, this is NL. :)

It's almost made for no-hill Holland. And of course there's nothing more fun than watching the faces of people that see you riding a skateboard uphill, while lazily slurping a milkshake. They're not noisy at all, so people only come to the conclusion there must be an engine in it after they made sure they're not drunk. ;)

Then it was time to go hunt for cans. With an airrifle of course. >:)
We had a very safe setup, but of course you're not allowed to hang around on a buildingsite. Going about with torches we set up a nice shooting range. Firing the first shot we figured an airrifle does make quite a noise still and would alarm neighbouring houses.
A couple of more shots were taken and we picked everything up and moved out. Upon leaving the buildingsite we were met with a torch in the face and a friendly but authorative voice asking whether we'd been hanging around on the grounds. Easy conclusion this was either security or the police, kinda hard to figure out when there's a bloody torch shining in your eyes.
Apparently looking for people with torches (which we had turned off and put in our pockets by now) the man remarked "well you don't have torches, I wish you a goodnight". A little further on we passed a policecar with it's spotlight on the buildingsite, so it wasn't security then...

And then it was time to head back home, by now it was a quarter to one am, half an hour to get home and it's a working day today.
Oh well, one more week before my holiday starts. :D

Ah well, lacking decent contact with a lot of you guys out there I'll be trying LJ's again. Totally out of the loop I feel.
Friends turning into vague aquaintences, some I haven't seen in years. Some I haven't seen ever. Everybody seems to happily go along without me. Usually I hear about fun stuff I could have gone to after the fact. :(

Well, with the people I do see on a regular basis we've been having a blast last weekend. Been flowboarding an awwful lot and I think I'll have to talk K into letting me borrow his flowboard while he's in P. :)
Also tried out his new minibike and crashed it right away. Apparently you can't go full throttle in the corner without hitting the street with your foot. The thing is so lightweight you actually lift up the whole machine that way. Fortunately most scratches were on me and those scratches could have been worse. :P

Now this weekend I'll have to think about bringing N his new Powersupply. We'll be having a lill goodbye party for K. He'll be gone for a couple of weeks. So another chance to damage his goods and get myself killed in the most interesting ways. ^^

Last friday my parents came round. Dropped of my brother and went on further north to some campingshop. They also brought along two small closets they couldn't use anymore and we could and can and will. :)
We spend the day doing ordinary things like watching some anime and go grocerie shopping. In the evening when my parents came back to pick up my bro we all went to an italian restaurant around the corner. I had never eaten at the restaurant itself before (also a takeaway which isn't bad) and was very pleasently surprised it was high quality food. Which luckily my 'rents paid for. ;)

After my parents and bro went home we called Sen and Dark to see if they were coming fridayevening or on saturday. Turns out they were almost at our place already. Which was good. :)
After watching movies and series together Vos went to sleep and Sen dozed off not long after. Me and darkie spend about half the night awake, Sen joining us everytime he woke up again. Too bloody hot to sleep. Somewhere in the morning we fell asleep eventually anyway. Which also meant we woke up somewhere in the afternoon. We then went to a pond in the neighbourhood to test Sen's RC submarine and Darkies RC sailboat.
It was perfect, nice n warm but not too hot to handle in the shade. Sunglasses, cold drinks and RC stuff to play with. And then disaster struck!
Someone, who will remain unnamed because it was darkie himself, forgot to switch on the sailboat before putting it in the water. Thinking the boat was moving according to the RC control it was actually just drifting to the left by itself and got stuck under a flat nowhere near a place you could reach it from the shore.
Darkie and I went home to grab the inflatable boat we had lying there and on our return the RC sailboat was on the side already. It just drifted along and eventually reached a point where Vos and Sen could pick it out of the water.
We used the inflatable boat anyway because it's just fun.
Sen's sub worked nicely. Better than I had expected. Eventho' there were too many waterplants to fiddle out of the mechanics everytime to keep it going it performed well and could dive untill even the lill' flag on top of the antennea was under water. Always a relieve to see it surface again. ;)
Unfortunately the battery chamber turned out to not be entirely waterproof. So it's back to the drawing board for the sub and we'll try again next time. :)

Saturday night was another night without sleep, a lot of Zim, a lot of heat and then some... ^^
Sunday lazied away with anime, Zim (aww, I wanted to explode) and Samurai Jack (Ooh! That's some tough talk coming from a man who wears a basket on his head! And your nightie! You look like me nanny!). :)
I can recommend these two cartoons to everyone, tho' I gues everybody already has seen Zim a million times anway. Jack is done by cartoon network/Genndy Tartakovsky (hope I spelled that one right), Genndy we of course all know of cartoons as two stupid dogs, dexter and the powerpuff girls.
